Year 9 Pathways (Options) 2024
Students in Year 9 will soon begin the process of making decisions about which courses and qualifications they would like to take at Key Stage 4 (KS4).
The process is supported by a range of different activities that will help students to think carefully about the decisions which are key to their success in the future.

A google form has been emailed home to all parents and carers. It is not “First come, first served” and students should take as long as they need to make an informed decision. The form must be completed by Friday 23rd February 2024.
Every student will have a group discussion with staff where they will explore which courses are most suitable for them. These conversations are designed to support students through the process and focus their thinking towards what they enjoy, what they are good at and what their career choices might be. There will also be an opportunity to have a 1:1 conversation with Miss Gilmore.
Please discuss with your son/daughter at home the three specific aspects below.
These are:
- What subjects do they enjoy at school?
- What are they good at?
- What career aspirations (if any) do they have at this point?
