Year 7 Residential Trip PGL Liddington

Year 7 off to a great start!

As we near the end of term one it’s fantastic to look back and see what an amazing start to life at Abbeywood Year 7 have made.  Making the transition from primary to secondary school is never easy but this year 7 have certainly taken it in their stride and adapted to secondary school life brilliantly.  There are a record number of Year 7 students taking part in the next school show ‘Grease’ and lots of students have already represented the school in netball and football matches.  Pictured are the students in each tutor group who have been awarded the most achievement points.

Lucy: “My first term at Abbeywood community school has been great.  All the teachers and staff were so welcoming I couldn’t wait to start.  Once I’d started I loved every subject - even maths and science!!! Even though my tutor group didn’t have any of my close friends I made lots more.  I have joined in with some extra-curricular activities like netball and the school play.  Overall I have enjoyed everything about Abbeywood and can’t wait to stay here for the next 7 years”!

Karthik: “Hi my name is Karthik.  My first few weeks at Abbeywood Community School has been absolutely sensational.  All the students and staff are really friendly.  It is a lovely and peaceful environment.  My tutor, Miss Sykes is very caring.  Hopefully, I will stay for 7 years and have a great time.  If you are looking to join a secondary school, Abbeywood is the best place”.

Year 7 Parents’ Evening takes place on Tuesday 21 May 2019 – an email will be sent home nearer the time with booking information.
