Personal Development at Abbeywood

At Abbeywood Community School we are passionate about helping all of our students achieve their potential through our values of Ambition, Confidence and Success. 

Our Personal Development Programme covers five key areas: character, culture, community, belonging and inspiring futures, to ensure that our curriculum goes beyond the classroom and provides all of our students with a broad range of challenges and experiences designed to help them develop as individuals and to allow them to contribute as members of our community. We provide numerous experiences to allow students to aspire and grow. We place a massive emphasis in education outside of the classroom whether this is through our extensive enrichment programme, the House system, competitions, sporting and cultural events, community events, trips and whole school events. Our students, through engaging and participating in in our Personal Development programme,  develop the skills, attributes and characteristics that will prepare them for the future, whilst at the same time giving them plenty of enjoyable memories.
