Please come and support the Friends of Abbeywood Community School.
FACS will be holding an EGM on Wednesday 20th January at 7.00pm.
Sadly, new volunteers have not come forward and without your help the current committee cannot sustain their support. This will be your last opportunity to step forward and be involved - during the last 5 years FACS has raised approximately £11,000 and funded items such as:-
The school rugby kit, pigeon holes/storage for Post 16, crockery and kitchen equipment for Food Tech, ‘Book Buzz’ free book for every Year 7 child initiative, equipment for the allotment, tents and all the equipment required for students to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, kindles to encourage reading for SEN students and funded training for 15 Anti Hate Crime Ambassadors for ACS.
Without willing volunteers fundraising for Abbeywood Community School, staff and students will no longer benefit from equipment and resources like the ones listed to enhance learning and create opportunities to experience such things as the D of E award.
