Abbeywood students celebrate excellent A Level results
Abbeywood Community School is celebrating strong performances across both A Levels and Vocational Qualifications, with some outstanding individual performances. Students will be leaving Abbeywood Community School to study at many of the top universities in the country, including Oxford University, Imperial College London, Exeter and Bristol University, amongst others.
In what has been an unprecedented and extremely challenging year for all of our young people, the students of Abbeywood Community School have excelled. They have continued to maintain positive attitudes and shown resilience in these extraordinary and uncertain times.
As a cohort, students have made positive progress and of course there are some outstanding individual performances notably, Jasmine Ajaz attained 5 A* in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, Physics and EPQ; William Lambern 4 A* in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computing; Daniella Sakota 3 A* in English Literature, History and Art; Anish Kataria 3 A* grades in Biology, Chemistry, Psychology; Dominika Dovicakova 2 A* and A in History, Sociology and Philosophy; Rezwana Begum Distinction*, A* and A in Business, Criminology and Sociology; Charlie Dell A* and 2 A grades in History, English and Philosophy; Lies Dunn 3 A grades in Criminology, Sociology, Film Studies; Sam Mansfield-Njie 2 A* and 2 A grades in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Further Maths; Charley Wood 3 A grades in Sociology, Criminology and History; Michaela Stutt 3 A grades in Maths, Physics and English Language; Catrin Perrott A* and 2 A grades in Biology, Chemistry and Maths; Jonny Mead 2 A*, A and B grades in Psychology, Criminology, EPQ and Chemistry.
Associate Headteacher Ben Dilley said, ‘Through hard work and dedication, and responding to the high quality teaching from our teaching staff, this year group has performed exceptionally. Congratulations to our students, who have been rewarded with outstanding results that have allowed them to choose their next path, either in education, apprenticeships or employment.
We wish all of our students well and are confident that they are on course to succeed at degree level, in their apprenticeships or employment. We are incredibly proud of all that they have achieved both academically and as they have progressed into outstanding young people.’
