KEY STAGE 4 - YEAR 10 & YEAR 11
The Engineering Pathway is an Engineering-centred curriculum shaped by ACS sponsors, including UWE, Rolls Royce, Airbus and GKN. The pathway provides students with a fully immersive experience in real-world science, technology and engineering industries. Alongside our engineering curriculum, students will also study:
- English literature GCSE
- English language GCSE
- Maths GCSE
- Science (Combined or Triple Science) GCSE
- An EBacc qualification (History, Geography, Computer Science, Triple Science or a Modern Foreign Language GCSE)
- Personal, Social, Health and Religious Education
- Physical Education
This is in addition to the wide range of extra-curricular opportunities that Abbeywood School offers.
Many students stay with us to study level 3 (A Levels) benefitting from the largest Post 16 curriculum offer in South Glos. through the Olympus Post 16 curriculum offer. Students typically continue with an Engineering-centred curriculum in Post 16 and go on to secure apprenticeships in local manufacturing firms, employment or continue further into higher education (university).
