Futures Week
Futures Week is a dedicated programme aimed at supporting Year 12 students as they explore their options beyond school. Throughout the week, students take part in a variety of interactive activities, including skills workshops, university-led sessions, employer presentations, volunteering opportunities, and work experience placements.
The programme is designed to help students develop key skills, gain valuable insights, and make informed decisions about their next steps. Last year’s Futures Week included a wide range of activities students were able to experience, including:
- UCAS, Personal Statement and CV workshops
- Mock interviews with employers
- University workshops - Jobs for the future; Build skills for the future; Student finance; Gap year
- Virtual Work Experience / Try a Uni course
- AI skills workshop
- Finance and budgeting
- Skills in the home
- Team sports
This year, Futures Week takes place during the final week the academic year.
