Year 6 - 7 Transition

My name is Seb Doyle and I am the Primary Liaison lead at Abbeywood Community School. The main aim of my role is to foster links between our school and all the primary schools within our area.  I organise, along with Abbeywood students, many different activities throughout the year at different primary schools.  This gives our students a wonderful opportunity to develop their leadership and coaching skills and to show themselves as excellent role models to younger children. We also organise many opportunities throughout the year for primary school pupils and you as parents / carers/ family / friends to visit Abbeywood.  This culminates in our fantastic summer school which takes place in the third week of the summer holidays.   We firmly believe this promotes a smooth transition into Year 7 at Abbeywood and that students arrive ready to get straight on with learning successfully in a secondary school environment

I look forward to seeing and hearing from you if you have any questions regards Abbeywood and my work with Primary Schools.  If you would like to book an appointment with myself to see Abbeywood operating during a normal school day then please do so.  You are sure to experience a learning climate where innovative, creative, safe, inclusive and driven by a culture of high expectations.
