Post 16 Admissions

The Concorde Partnership consists of Bradley Stoke Community School, Abbeywood Community School, South Gloucestershire and Stroud College and Patchway Community College. Together we offer a shared curriculum. All Abbeywood Community School students are entitled to a place at Post 16 provided they fulfil the entry criteria. Students from other centres must apply for a place on the Concorde common application form and must fulfil the same criteria. Level 3 courses: 5 A* - C grades at GCSE or equivalent, and the additional entry requirements for each of the subjects to be studied. Level 2 courses: students will need to discuss the suitability of courses to be studied with a member of the Post 16 team.

All appeals for school places should be made on the Appeals Proforma ACS and sent directly to Mrs Ruth Whittaker at Abbeywood Community School. Appeals will be heard by an independent panel as soon as possible. You may appeal once in each academic year. Any complaints about appeals panels should be directed to the Education Funding Agency. However, the EFA can only review the process, not the decision made by the panel. Any appeal against a decision not to admit must be made to the civil courts. Complaints to the EFA can be made by e-mail to or in writing to Academies Central Unit (Academy Independent Appeal Panel Complaints).
